The Opportunity

Sembi is seeking an Associate for their Corporate Strategy group to accelerate their career through a high-visibility, high-responsibility opportunity. This is an operational and corporate strategy role in one, acting as the glue across operations, product, engineering, and go-to-market organizations to ensure all functions work together seamlessly to achieve the goals for your brand(s) in the Sembi portfolio.

You will serve as the owner for two of Sembi’s seven global brands’ performance, strategic direction, and cross-functional execution. You will have a direct line to the executive team, a seat in every significant planning forum, and ownership of your brand’s strategic narrative from the weekly KPI update to the board deck.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Planning
  • Board and Investor Materials:  Deliver your brands’ strategic narrative in board decks, all-hands presentations, and investor materials
  • Quarterly Business Review: Own quarterly business reviews for your brands. Synthesize performance across all functions into a clear, concise narrative on what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs to change
  • Financial Strategy:  Lead the end-to-end budget, forecast, and projection process: the framework, the cross-functional sessions, and the final output the President presents to the board
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Collaborate with functional organization leads to execute their functional strategy to deliver brand-specific targets and surface blockers before they become problems

Special Projects
  • Strategic Recommendations:  Drive recommendations on brand-related initiatives that need a clear path forward: M&A evaluation, AI monetization, pricing and packaging changes, etc.
  • Business Critical Escalations: Facilitate high-touch cross-functional response to solve urgent, high-impact issues like outages, customer escalations, etc.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Root cause analysis on significant business trends such as churn spikes, billing issues, conversion drops, or any other dynamics that require analysis
  • Misalignment Resolution: Jump on cross-functional misalignments that are stalling progress, such as contract reviews that require coordination across sales, compliance, and legal stakeholders, lack of clear ownership on shared initiatives, competing priorities between functions, etc

Qualifications
  • Work Experience: 3+ years of investment banking, consulting, private equity, or a role in business operations at a software/technology company
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to build complex financial models with advanced Excel skills. You must know how to ask the right questions of data and the persistence to obtain and present the data in a clear way
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication: You write clear emails, create organized and compelling PowerPoint decks, and ability to lead a team call
  • Ability to Lead: Demonstrate an aptitude to lead your brand and drive results
  • Drive: Tenacious, humble and hungry, ability to continuously improve processes and themselves. You can identify patterns in trends, ask what they mean in terms of actual business outcomes, and come up with ideas to move them in the right direction and align functionally-based teams to take these forward

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 05/31/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
